Mada was honored to welcome His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who has delighted and added a great value to the successful opening of Mada’s booth at QITCOM 2019.

We were also delighted to welcome His Excellency the Ambassador of South Korea who discussed the latest digital accessibility technologies, he was was introduced to Mada’s efforts regarding this field. Moreover, Mada was pleased to welcome His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey who has visited the Mada’s booth at #QITCOM2019 to learn more about the different technological solutions that Mada provides to empower people with disabilities and the elderly through ICT in Qatar and beyond.

Mada’s interactive booth contains 6 Zones, all were designed to engage and interact with visitors whilst educating them about the work that Mada does in the field of ICT Accessibility. The zones come under Mada’s 3-key areas of work (Education, Culture, Community, and Innovation) and consist of Customer Service, Transportation, Leisure, Entertainment and Sports, ICT, Media, and Innovation.

Throughout the busy day, a range of visitors from various local and international organizations came to Mada’s booth to find out about our leading work in the field of digital accessibility in the Education, Culture and Community Sectors as well as our pioneering innovation program that supports entrepreneurs and innovators that aim to improve the lives of people with disabilities and the elderly.

Mada is pleased to have sponsored the ICT accessibility track of the 48-hour Hackathon – ‘CodeCamp’, organized by the Digital Incubation Center at QITCOM2019. The 3 finalists of the competition pitched their solutions, all aimed at empowering people with hearing disabilities, at the final CodeCamp pitch.  Following this, the final winner, ‘Beyond Barriers’ was selected and awarded with the prize of QRs25,000 to develop their solution further.
